Manage software

Official EX200 group: RPM repos, install/remove RPM, Flatpak repos and packages (RHEL 10).

Work on your practice VM. After install, run prep-exam.sh once, snapshot 01_Exam_Start, then SSH as student.

When you finish this lab, copy the grade script onto the VM: sudo bash grade-obj-software.sh

Tasks

  1. Use this system's RPM repositories (RHEL 10: rhc connect if dnf has no repos; Rocky/Alma: defaults).
  2. Install tmux. Package telnet must not be installed.
  3. Install flatpak. Add Flathub or a remote named exam-flathub.
  4. Install org.gnome.Calculator with Flatpak.
